Despite a UN resolution calling for Peacekeepers for the battle-torn area of Darfur (West Sudan), there is still no adequate protection for the thousands of civilians who are being subjected to killings, rape and displacement from their homes.
Security continues to deteriorate and the people of Darfur are in need now more than ever of effective peacekeeping to protect them from the ongoing conflict.
